It’s really great that you’re interested in our web site. Here, I wish to introduce myself and my ideas for the shop.

My name is Martin Schob and I have known quite a bit about the kite scene for many years. This is because, for a while now, I have been designing stunt kites, wind games, one-liners and banners that have received much recognition. First, the Tricktail, a two-liner made especially for elegant, precise trick flights paired with constant speed. Its main feature is the patent-protected “Tail,” the concave-shaped end of the middle section, which positively influences its aerodynamics. It has been extremely successful in competitions and can still win a few titles in single and paired flights. Fortunately it’s still actively flown by a large fan base that often visits www.tricktail.de and the corresponding forum. This site was not run by me, but you will still find a lot of information about me there. Many thanks to Oliver Richter from Berlin, who is an exceptionally gifted web designer (www.fx4u.de).

In addition to the Tricktail, my designs include the Utopia, which features a still-unique design principle. I divided the sail area into a main and a middle sail, and relocated the starting point to the middle brace. This has produced a futuristic kite with versatile applications.

During the last few years, my designs have only been available on a handmade basis to a small circle of clients, who had to put in a lot of patience (and a bit of money) before they were able to hold a Tricktail in their hands (grin).

But now that’s all going to change!

Fortunately, I’ve found a partner in EOD GmbH (the company behind this shop). They are supporting me 100% to start a kite shop the way I think is best (and provide a strong financial background, which you absolutely need to finance such a large facility). Yes, I finally have complete control and can deal full out with things that I believe are most important to this wonderful hobby.

But what does this mean for you?

The Tricktail and variations of the Utopia will be back, and at a very affordable price: PROMISE! (but give me a few month’s time).
Because I’m a kite designer, one strength of our business will be the huge selection of high-quality construction material in all price ranges.
All kites and wind games listed here are worth your money. I work only with manufacturers that I’ve known for years and that I trust.
One of my visions that I can finally bring to life is the design portal: here, I would like to give kite designers (even some of the talented unknowns; although, only those who have been making brilliant designs for years and that I really treasure) the opportunity to introduce themselves and their creations, which they can make available for purchase. These kites will be mostly single copies or very limited editions. In the next few months, new models will be continuously added to the collection. It will be worth your while to visit the site regularly – that way you won’t miss out on the limited editions ;-)

As you can probably tell, I’ve been afflicted by the kite virus for many, many years now. This hobby has become a big part of my life. It would really please me to infect you with it also – I promise that it’s worth it.

So, enough writing: I’ve got to get back to open spaces.
